Christmas time in Bethlehem is normally a great celebration and people from all over the world join in. However, this year again at Manger Square in Bethlehem, the lights and tree may not be in place. The Christmas Capitol of the world is dark and cold. Since the attack on October 7th, 2023 and the subsequent war, many businesses are closed, hotels are empty and most people cannot leave their homes. LMI spoke with a Palestinian Christian who said, “The economy has nearly collapsed. Seventy five percent of all jobs in Israel are tourism related. The whole nation is suffering.” The people of Bethlehem and the whole of Israel are in need. We want to help.
We received a request to assist Jewish and Palestinian families in Israel. We’re providing winter aid packs, comprising of food bundles, coats, blankets and medicines. Each pack cost an average of $100, and any donation received will contribute towards the assembly of these packs.
We can help deliver comfort and joy to those suffering from this war. We invite you to join in prayer for the love of Jesus to reach the people of this region in a profound way. We would appreciate your prayers for people on both sides of this conflict. If you would like to give towards making the aid packs, please click the give button and choose the ‘Support for the Peoples of Israel’ in the drop down menu. Thank you!
